Amelia has her very own apartment located in our living room. It's a fully enclosed play area that big enough for her and both Martin and myself to get in! It's great because the dogs can't get in and its a safe place for her to play and move around. Oh yes - she's moving! Not quite crawling, but she's got places to go. She can use her feet to push herself in different directions. We really need to start baby-proofing the whole house to get prepared for her crawling which is going to happen very soon.
She's always this happy!
On Sunday, February 14th, 2010 - Valentine's Day - Amelia was baptized! I grew up Catholic and combining that with coming from Mexican heritage, the baptism is a big deal. To Mexican Catholics, and probably to lots of other backgrounds, this is the time when a person begins their relationship with God. Martin doesn't have a religious background, so I think it was a bit intimidating for him. Luckily, the Methodist church I belong to is very casual and our pastor is really down to earth. The day was really nice and it was a happy moment for me.
